Willie Cole created two windscreen and leaning rails in the form of oval African shields in stainless steel and etched tempered glass. Willie Cole grew up in Newark and attended Arts High School. His work was designed to reflect African-American culture and visually extend the sculpture garden from Washington Park to the station.
